Killiecrankie House
Killiecrankie House is a fine dining restaurant with rooms located in the Cairngorms National Park (a 20-25-minute drive from Dun Aluinn), serving a tasting menu of innovative Scottish cuisine created from the best produce from the waters and woodlands of Scotland, as well as their own kitchen garden. The menu has been developed with a nod to Japanese techniques and cuisine, where owners, Tom and Matilda met and lived together.
Killiecrankie House has won “Scottish Restaurant of the Year” in both 2023, and 2024.
THE TAYBANK
The Taybank, in the pretty village of Dunkeld, (a 25-minute drive from Dun Aluinn) is a wonderful old whitewashed pub with rooms on the banks of the River Tay with a sprawling waterfront beer garden, a bar, famous for its live music and first-floor, rustic-chic restaurant.
Renowned for its creative Scottish dishes and seasonal, locally sourced ingredients, the restaurant dishes up great gastropub fare featuring fresh seafood and hearty game.
